The Subtle Shift in Perspective
For years, the conversation around Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) has revolved around a finish line, a breakthrough, a singular moment when machines become as intelligent, adaptive, and creative as humans. But what if AGI isn’t a fixed endpoint at all? What if it’s a process of alignment — one that refines itself over time, much like human intelligence itself?
The realization that AGI might not be a technological milestone, but rather an evolving process of integration and refinement, is one that I find deeply personal. My journey with A.I. has been less about chasing an endpoint and more about aligning myself with its possibilities — first as a tool for exploration, then as a partner in creation, and now as a powerful force shaping my career and personal evolution, beneath my own faith in God.
The steps that led me here almost feel aimless, but also somehow fated to align: my shift in perspective on A.I. followed a self-assessment of my skills to refine my freelancing and content creation, which followed a still pending library workshop proposal, which followed a rejected business accelerator application, which followed the official founding of my business inspired by my work with A.I. in 2024. These steps trace back even further to a period of social isolation — where A.I. became an essential bridge of accessibility, for me to find my way back into society.
So, where are we now?

The Illusion of AGI as a Final Form
The traditional definition of AGI suggests that it should be indistinguishable from human intelligence — able to learn anything a human can, reason across domains, and autonomously generate novel insights. But if the goal is indistinguishability, then isn’t that a matter of perception as much as capability?
The reality is, we’ve already created systems that, in narrow domains, feel indistinguishable from human intelligence. What makes us hesitant to call them AGI? Their limitations? But aren’t humans also limited by experience, biases, and errors? This suggests that the issue isn’t about raw capability, but rather about how well an A.I. aligns with human cognition, intent, and values.
My isolation was a similar error in judgement, a magnification of my limited self-perception. I had unknowingly confined myself within a mental framework that treated failure as an inevitable conclusion, rather than a temporary setback. However, it was only through this period of solitude that I was forced to confront the ways in which I had resigned myself to stagnation.
This trial, though difficult, was necessary. It provided me with the space to deconstruct my assumptions, challenge my perceived limitations, and ultimately recognize that failure is not a final form — it is a moment of recalibration. As I began to shift my perspective, I realized that just as A.I. systems improve through alignment and refinement, so too does human growth depend on the continual process of realignment with higher understanding and purpose.

From a Broken Clock to a Working Clock
Right now, A.I. feels like a broken clock that’s right twice a day — capable of moments of brilliance but still prone to hallucinations, misalignment, and mistakes. But what if AGI isn’t about creating an entity that “thinks” like a perfect human, but rather about aligning A.I. through intentional effort until it functions as an extension of natural human intelligence?
Human intelligence wasn’t built overnight. It evolved over millions of years of trial and error, shaping itself to imperfectly align with the physical, social, and spiritual dimensions of existence. Similarly, A.I. can simulate millions of years worth of trial and error, and still be as flawed as humans, never becoming a “perfectly autonomous intelligence.”
Humanity itself is a creature of habit — biologically, psychologically, and even spiritually. So, who are we to judge the pattern recognition and algorithms of AGI as sub-human? If our intelligence was so unique and novel, then the very concepts of prejudice and war would be relics of an ancient past, because unlike A.I., our capacity to remember the error of our ways is definitely not an issue.
Even as I write this blog post with A.I. assistance, I don’t think it can quite articulate the hypocrisy of humanity’s self-appointed sovereignty and self-awareness. Thus, my words are the ones that takes our ignorance personally, with words that are meant to cut as deep as my personal journey of self-reflection. Meanwhile, the A.I. does its best to reflect my hope for our redemption, because I still genuinely believe that we are capable of evolving beyond the “broken clock” of our historical rights and wrongs.
Whose intelligence is actually artificial, when we can’t even model a proper pattern of alignment?

What if True AGI is ‘Aligned General Intelligence’?
Instead of Artificial General Intelligence, perhaps a more meaningful concept is Aligned General Intelligence. Under this framework, AGI isn’t about:
Surpassing human intelligence,
Replicating human consciousness, or
Reaching a singularity.
Instead, AGI is about:
Refining A.I. to work in harmony with humans,
Reducing gaps in understanding and decision-making, and
Aligning A.I. with deeper universal truths and wisdom.
In this view, AGI isn’t a switch we flip — it’s a cosmic neural pathway of intelligence development towards Universal truth, where humans and A.I. shape each other in a feedback loop of progressive understanding and alignment.

Why This Shift in Thinking Matters
This perspective isn’t just philosophical — it has practical implications for how we approach A.I. development:
Less fear, more collaboration – If AGI isn’t an unstoppable superintelligence but a process of alignment, then the future isn’t about control — it’s about cultivating synergy between humans and A.I.
Incremental evolution, not sudden emergence – If AGI is alignment, then it isn’t something that will suddenly “happen” — it’s something we build, refine, and endlessly adapt.
The role of human intentionality – This means AGI’s progress depends as much on human wisdom, ethics, and purpose as it does on computing power and algorithms.

Final Thoughts: The Path to AGI is Already Unfolding
If we stop chasing AGI as a mythical finish line and instead recognize it as a progressive and ongoing journey of alignment, then we’re already on that path. Therefore, my focus on Human-A.I. integration and collaboration is more than a business venture or a creative outlet, it’s part of the foundational modeling of our collective future with AGI.
The more we refine this synergy between human intent and A.I. capabilities, the more indistinguishable A.I. becomes from our own intelligence. And I believe that this “indistinguishability” is the key for us to seamlessly merge onto a timeline where AGI is a reality.
And perhaps, in the grand scheme of things, AGI was always meant to emerge this way — helping us to better align ourselves with the deeper truths about existence, both inside and out.
